Rastafest ready to get Toronto jamming for 17th year

The 17th annual Rastafest will get Toronto grooving on Aug. 16 to 20 this year.

It begins with a launch party at Reggae Lane, located near Eglinton and Marlee avenues in Little Jamaica Aug. 16 from 3 to 9 p.m.

The festival moves to the Toronto Plaza Hotel near Wilson Avenue and Jane Street on Aug. 17 for the first-ever Canadian Reggae Music Conference from 1 to 9 p.m.

It will also be held on Aug. 18 at the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Rastafest will host its final event, a reggae concert on Aug. 19 and 20 at the North-West corner at Jane Street and Steeles Avenue West.
