Two Toronto men charged after break-ins at North York homes

Two Toronto men are facing 24 charges after homes in North York were broken into and robbed.

Toronto police were called for a break-and-enter in the area of Wilson Avenue and Bathurst Street at 1:59 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1.

According to police, two men arrived in the area in a black Ford Ranger and one stayed in the truck while the other kicked in front doors of targeted homes and stole jewelry and other valuables from the home’s master bedrooms.

Sheldon Weller, 55, of Toronto, has been charged with eight counts of breaking-and-entering, three counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and one count each of attempted breaking-and-entering, dangerous operation of a vehicle and failing to comply with probation.

Daniel O'Donnell, 33, of Toronto, has been charged with six counts of breaking-and-entering, three counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and one count of attempted breaking-and-entering.

Their arrests were announced Wednesday, Dec. 6.
