Poppy donation box stolen in North York, suspect photo released

Toronto police have released a security camera image in the hopes of identifying a man in the Remembrance Day theft of a poppy donation box in North York.

Police said a man entered a “retail establishment” in the Keele Street and Sheppard Avenue area, took the poppy donation box from the counter and fled at 7:37 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11.

“The man was last seen heading in a northwest direction on foot,” police said in a news release.
