Toronto man charged with having, distributing child sexual abuse material

A Toronto man who police believe had close contact with children in Scarborough in the late 1970s and early 1980s has been charged with five child pornography offences.

The Toronto Police Service Child Exploitation Section executed two search warrants in the Keele and Bloor streets area and the Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue area Tuesday, Oct. 10.

During the searches, police allegedly found images and video of child sexual abuse.

Walter Weber, 56, of Toronto, has been charged with two counts of possession of child pornography, two counts of accessing child pornography and one count of making available child pornography.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-8500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477.
