Toronto Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man involved in a road-rage incident on Lake Shore Boulevard near Exhibition Place.

Two drivers heading westbound on Lake Shore West become involved “in a verbal altercation” on Thursday, Aug. 4, police say.

As they stopped at a red light at the intersection of Strachan Avenue at around 6:30 p.m., one of the drivers was seen getting out of his car with a baseball bat.

Police say he struck the passenger-side mirror of the other man’s vehicle with the bat before getting back into his own car, a white Acura, and driving north on Strachan.

Dashcam video of a man moving through traffic with a bat was widely shared after the incident. On Sunday, police released a photograph of the man with the bat as part of their efforts to find him.

Police invite anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has video footage, to contact 14 Division at 416-808-1400, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
