News Jul 09, 2017 City Centre Mirror

Friends of missing man Andrew Kinsman are holding a food drive and rally Sunday, July 9 to raise awareness of the situation.

The event is taking place at Allen Gardens, at the southeast corner of Sherbourne and Gerrard streets, at 4 p.m. Non-perishable food items will be donated to Toronto People With AIDS Foundation Food Bank, where Kinsman volunteers.

Kinsman, 49, was reported missing to police June 29; he was last seen June 26.

Friends have called his disappearance out of character and police are treating it as suspicious.

Kinsman lived in an apartment near Parliament and Winchester streets, north of Carlton Street.

He is about 6-feet, 2-inches tall with buzz-cut hair, a beard, and a medium-to-stocky build.

He wears glasses and has a vertical scar on each of his knees from surgeries. He also has an armband-type tattoo with wording on his right bicep and an expletive word tattooed on the left side of his chest, police said. He often wears cargo shorts and brown leather Birkenstock sandals.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-5100 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477.
