Search for female suspect after woman beaten, thrown into TTC bus

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect after a woman was reportedly beaten and thrown into a moving bus downtown the morning of Friday, Feb. 10.

According to police, a 35-year-old woman was punched in the head several times and then thrown into a moving TTC bus by another woman. The alleged assault happened at the corner of Sherbourne Street and Queen Street East at approximately 10 a.m.

The victim remains in hospital in critical condition with serious head injuries.

The suspect, who was last seen fleeing north on Sherbourne, was described by police as approximately 30 years old, with red hair and a pale-white complexion. She was seen wearing a black jacket, grey hoodie, blue jeans and black boots.
