The St. Joseph’s Family Medicine Health Team is the recipient of the 2015 Family Practice of the Year Award.

The Family Practice of the Year award celebrates the accomplishments and hard work of the members of a family practice in delivering comprehensive services and continuity of care for patients. It also celebrates excellence in community and medical leadership, outstanding contributions in teaching and exceptional teamwork.

“The St. Joseph’s Family Health Team is an example of collaborative and integrated primary care at its best,” said Cathy Faulds, Ontario College of Family Physicians (OCFP) President, in a press release.

“By working together, these dedicated family physicians and health-care professionals are able to find new and innovative ways to enhance the delivery of quality medical care to their patients and the community.”

The award was presented to St. Joe’s on Thursday, Nov. 12.

The OCFP’s annual Honours and Awards program celebrates the outstanding skill, knowledge and dedication of family doctors across Ontario.
