Weather, mood and behaviour merge for project

News Jan 11, 2011 East York Mirror

Labspace Studio, an experiential art house and creative agency based in Leslieville, is looking for collaborators to participate in a new project called Snow Days.

The elaborative, arts-based research project aims to explore the human experience through the universal theme of weather by looking at how it affects our moods, our every day patterns of behaviour and our creative process.

The project's organizers are looking for 28 collaborators - one for each day of February - to commit to a 24-hour process of self-awareness, discovery and creative elaboration, which will be documented in a real-time, web-based calendar and then packaged into a large multimedia exhibition.

Each collaborator will be asked to create a finished piece of work based on their personal and intimate insights throughout their assigned day.

The Snow Days exhibit opens Saturday, March 19 and runs until Monday, March 21 at Labspace Studio, 2A Pape Ave.

The deadline for submissions for Snow Days is Saturday, Jan. 22. Applications from people working in various sectors and professionals are welcome.
