Junction plays host to Santa and friends

Santa and his wife Mrs. Claus pay an extra special visit to the Junction on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Junction businesses will host interactive window displays, visitors can listen to Mrs. Claus reading holiday tales or take part in a craft workshop in the Elf Village or find some unique gifts, while sipping on some hot chocolate or other take-away treats presented by the Junction Business Improvement Area.

The annual Santa in the Junction event will also feature strolling carolers, children’s choirs, a toy drive and live music performances at participating businesses.

Also that day, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will make its only Toronto stop in the Junction at 5:30 p.m. at 750 Runnymede Rd. The train will be travelling across the U.S. and Canada to help raise awareness in the fight against hunger and will be collecting non-perishable goods for the cause.
