Late Beach artist Malak Tabbara to be honoured at memorial

The memory of late Beach artist Malak Tabbara, who died on June 26 of cancer at the age of 52, is being honoured with a special charity event.

On Saturday, Nov. 18, starting at 1 p.m., those who knew and loved Tabbara, who was also a dog lover and a dog walker, are invited to make their way to The Duke Live for a fun afternoon that will include a silent auction featuring many of his paintings, as well as other great prizes including tickets to entertainment and sporting events among other things.

Organized by his good friend and fellow dog walker Kim McKay Denomme, the fundraiser will also include raffles, complimentary refreshments, and entertainment.

All proceeds will be directed to the Smiling Blue Skies Community to End Canine Cancer. All donations over $20 are eligible for a tax receipt.

The Duke Live is located at 1225 Queen St. E. at Leslie St. in Leslieville.
