Wychwood Barns farmers market to celebrate 10 years

The farmers market at Artscape Wychwood Barns in Toronto’s west end is celebrating its 10th year of operation this year.

According to local Coun. Joe Mihevc’s latest newsletter, the celebration will take place Saturday, Nov. 25.

The Ward 21 St. Paul’s West councillor will help mark the milestone with two dedications, one at 8 a.m. and the other at 11 a.m. at the market, which is at 601 Christie St., near St. Clair Avenue West.

According to its website, the Stop’s Farmers’ Market at Artscape Wychwood Barns hosts markets every Saturday all year long from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. that features “local, sustainable, organic, and artisanal products and great music.”

It added the market has become a neighbourhood meeting place, attracting more than 1,500 people each week.
