Culture Days @ Toronto Public Library is back for its seventh year and participation from artists is needed.

Almost 200 artists and arts and cultural organizations have presented more than 300 activities to more than 9,000 people at library branches throughout the city in the previous six years.

The program was created to help artists and arts groups share their work with the public during the Culture Days, a Canadian celebration of arts and culture.

Toronto Public Library is offering partnerships with artists and cultural groups who wish to be a part of Culture Days on Sept. 29 and 30.

Artists that wish to organize their events at a Toronto Public Library branch can submit their application by May 3.

Toronto Public Library staff will contact artists they are interested in starting mid-May and will discuss other details directly with the artist.

Library branches cannot provide any financial assistance, including funds for supplies or equipment, but participants will receive administrative, marketing and promotional support for their activities.

Downtown locations are in high demand, so applicants are urged to choose at least one other area of the city to improve their chances of being selected for the program.
