Centennial Community and Recreation Association holding annual dinner/dance

Scarborough Mirror

Scarborough's Centennial Community and Recreation Association will hold their annual Country Rock Dinner/Dance party at West Rouge Community Centre, 270 Rouge Hills Dr., Saturday, April 1.

Headlining the evening performance will be up-and-coming Canadian country music artist Vanessa Marie Carter and her band.

Last year, Carter released her first CD and won the Emerging Artist Award at Boots and Hearts, one of Canada’s largest country music festivals.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a buffet dinner at 7 p.m., including a cash bar, prize raffles and a door prize.

Carter will be performing a show of original and classic country rock songs by artists like Carrie Underwood and Shania Twain.

The dance floor will open at 8 p.m. during Carter’s show and guests can enjoy a country line dance lesson with the Urban Cowboy Mario Carito during set break.

Tickets to the CCRA Country Rock dinner/dance are $55 each, and can be booked by contacting CCRA Events chair Heather Lemieux at 416-284-4751 or by email to heatherlemieux@royallepage.ca.
