AN EVENING WITH GEORGE TAKEI
Pride Toronto’s Queer Icon series returns, offering An Evening With George Takei. From his early years in internment camps, to his famed tenure on the Starship Enterprise and his current post at the summit of online superstardom, Takei’s ability to reflect on his own life experiences, coupled with his unique brand of intellectual levity, makes him one of the world’s most engaging speakers.

EARL BALES ART AND MUSIC FESTIVAL
This one-day annual event celebrating the arts and culture of North York and Toronto features performances by a variety of local musicians, displays by artists, food booths from local restaurants and activities for kids.

TASTE OF TORONTO
Taste of Toronto showcases the true flavours of the local food scene. Enjoy signature dishes from the city’s finest restaurants, learn tricks of the trade from world-class chefs and sample gourmet food and drinks, all in one place. This provides you with enough time to enjoy your pick of more than 50 restaurant dishes, browse the artisan stalls, and enjoy the many interactive on-site features.

SANDCASTLE DAY
Join organizers on the beach for the 10th annual Sandcastle Building Competition and bring your team early as The Beaches Cup is awarded promptly at 3 p.m. The competition is free to enter and open to anyone.

SUMMER PET FEST
Events include VIP pet family tent; competitive dog dock diving; disc dog demos; best dressed pet contest; birds of prey demos; Woofjocks canine all-stars; Reptilia mini zoo; celebrity dogs and more.

ANNEX FAMILY FESTIVAL
Join the party for a full day of music, food and fun to celebrate the diversity of the Annex.

BREAK FREE 5K
Break Free 5k is not your typical run, and is a celebration of healthy lifestyles that allows you to play along the way. Each play station reminds participants that living a healthy lifestyle is meant to be fun.

STANDING TALL: THE CURIOUS HISTORY OF MEN IN HEELS
“Standing Tall” challenges preconceived notions about who wears heels and why. From privileged rulers to hyper-sexualized rock stars, this provocative exhibition will explore the history of men in heels from the early 1600s to today.
