The Taste of the Kingsway Festival this September is about more than just food, say organizers.
While over 30 Kingsway restaurants will offer international cuisine, with a pancake breakfast and beer and wine gardens also on the menu, the event also boasts live musical performances, a dog show, artisans, buskers, rock climbing walls and more. The festival, on Bloor Street West from Prince Edward Drive to Montgomery Road, takes place Saturday, Sept. 11 and Sunday, Sept. 12, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. respectively. The musical lineup features headliners Crash Parallel, Alfie Zappacosta, Disco Knights, Hayley Sales and Ivana Santilli. The Scotiabank Dog Show under the Scotiabank tent - "where every dog and companion is a winner" - is offered alongside the Carlson Wagonlit Pancake Breakfast in support of the Out of the Cold Program, Sunday at 8 a.m. Midway rides and games help round out the entertainment, with clowns and face painters adding to the mix.But it doesn't stop there: Boxing, Taekwondo and fitness demonstrations are on the bill, along with product demos, draws and more. For more information visit www.thekingswaytoronto.ca/Events/TasteoftheKingsway
