Saturday, March 20

VISIT COLBORNE LODGE and learn about 19th century Easter traditions. Families will tour the museum and spot eggs hidden in the restored rooms. Children dye their own eggs using natural dyes. This event runs from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, as well as March 27. Free with regular admission to the lodge.

DROP OFF YOUR OLD electronics like cell phones, computers and printers at the Inorganic Market, No Frills, 372 Pacific Ave. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

GREEN 13 IS HOSTING Lantern making at the Train Station Platform, Dundas and Pacific from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring the family and join the fun. Make a lantern ready for the Earth Hour walk on March 27 8:30 p.m.

Sunday, March 21

THE UKRAINIAN CANADIAN ART Foundation, KUMF Gallery 2118 Bloor St. W., opens "Reflections - 50 Years of Creativity," a retrospective exhibition of the works of Pavlo Lopata at 3 p.m. Guest speaker, art historian Halyna Kostiuk. The exhibit continues until April 11.

GET A JUMP ON Garage sale season with the Swansea Town Hall's annual indoor garage sale. The town hall, located at 95 Lavinia Ave., hosts the sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Tuesday, March 23

The Toronto Debating Society meets at Swansea Town Hall. This week's resolution: Political correctness is the hobgoblin of small minds. All debates held at Swansea Town Hall Community Centre, 2nd. Floor Council Chamber, 95 Lavinia Ave. every second and fourth Tuesday of the month. Admission is free.

Friday, March 26

THE HIGH PARK RESIDENTS' ASSOCIATION (HPRA) presents FUNRaiser! - a family-friendly evening with Canadian Champions of Magic and feature CNE performers Majinx at the Lithuanian Hall, 1573 Bloor St. W. CANDLELIGHT EARTH HOUR walks take place at various locations for Earth Day. Join the festivities at 7:30 p.m. with walks starting at 8:30 p.m. at the Alex Ling Fountain (at Jane and Bloor streets) at the Junction Train Station Platform (at Dundas Street West and Pacific Avenue) or at Grafton Park off Roncesvalles. Bring your own candle.

The West Toronto Junction Historical Society's meets at the Annette Street Public Library at 7:30 until 9:30 p.m. The Tessellate Institute will give a talk about its recent oral history project of the first mosque in Toronto, which was located from 1961-1968 at 3047 Dundas St. W. in the Junction.

It's Happening runs Thursdays in The Villager and covers Friday to Friday. Items from local, non-profit organizations should be submitted two weeks prior to the event.
