Saturday, March 6

THE ETOBICOKE YOUTH SOCCER Club hosts open in-person registrations for this summer's outdoor soccer season from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Richview Public School, 59 Clement Rd.

WEST TORONTO STAMP CLUB will stage a Stamp Exhibition in the Cloverdale Mall (Dundas and The East Mall) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Come and see how its members show their collections, from single-page to multi-page displays.

CITIZENS CONCERNED ABOUT the Future of the Etobicoke Waterfront (CCFEW) holds its monthly bird walk from 9 to 11 a.m. at Humber Bay West Park (south of Lake Shore Boulevard West, one block west of Parklawn). Please meet in the first parking lot. Everyone welcome free of charge. Walks take place regardless of the weather.

LEARN TRADITIONAL CUISINE from around the world at Stonegate Community Health Centre as part of their Nutrition Month programming. The free class takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at 150 Berry Rd. WEST TORONTO STAMP CLUB meets in Eatonville Library, 430 Burnhamthorpe Rd. Join them in the afternoon at 1:30 p.m. for hobby chat, visit to dealers or simply friendship. A stamp auction will be held from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. Free coffee is available. Visitors are welcome. Call 416-621-8232.

NEILSON PARK CREATIVE CENTRE Galleries, 56 Neilson Dr., invite the public to meet the artists of the Golden Age Academy at the opening of their exhibition, Spring 2010, from 7 to 9 p.m. The show continues until March 21. Free admission and parking. Wheelchair accessible. Call 416-622-5294.

COME TO A SENIORS' DANCE at Franklin Horner Community Centre, 432 Horner Ave., from 7:30 to 10 p.m. every Wednesday night. A DJ will play music from the 50s and 60s. Admission is $3.

OUR CITY, OUR STORIES youth photo essay contest exhibition will be on display at the Etobicoke Civic Centre until March 25. Youth aged 13 to 22 from priority neighbourhoods who participated in a year-long series of photo workshops organized by the city were eligible to enter.

THURSDAY MORNING DIAMONDS meet at 10:30 a.m. at Montgomery's Inn, Dundas Street West and Montgomery Road. For a lecture/tour. Bring your own lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided. Cost is $5. THE WOMEN'S GUILD AND HELPING Hands Group of Mimico Presbyterian Church will be holding a St. Patrick's Day tea at the Church, 119 Mimico Ave. from 2 to 4 p.m. and there will be a nominal charge of $8 adults, $4 children under age 10. Tickets will be available at the door. There will be some light entertainment and refreshments will be served.

THERE WILL BE A PUBLIC screening of the 2009 documentary Waterlife at Richview Library from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Seating is limited. Register at the information desk or call 416-394-5125. This is an excellent movie talking about the Great Lakes and the human effect on them.

A HAITIAN RELIEF fundraiser takes place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 101, 3850 Lake Shore Blvd. W., 7:30 p.m. The evening will feature four bands, a 50/50 draw, and snacks. Minimum suggested donation is $10.

THE BEAVER BIBLE CLASS of Westway United Church presents their 72nd annual Spring Fling. (between Browns Line and Kipling Avenue), hosts its annual Easter Bazaar today from noon until 3 p.m. A lunch, home baking, traditional bread (paska), pyrohy (varenyky), cabbage rolls (holubtsi) and beautiful Easter eggs will be for sale.
