Tickets for sale for fundraiser

The ninth annual Meagan's Walk dinner and dance gala takes place Feb. 18 in memory of a little girl who lost her fight with cancer.

Etobicoke's Meagan Bebenek died from a brain tumour at the age of five. The soft-spoken preschooler inspired an outpouring of support to her family. Since her death, her mother Denise has organized annual fundraising events to benefit the Hospital for Sick Children and the Brain Tumour Research Assistance and Information Network (BRAINchild)

The dinner and dance takes place this year at the Eglinton Grand, 400 Eglinton Ave. W. Semiformal attire requested. The $150 ticket includes cocktail hour, dinner, a cash bar, auctions and entertainment. Call 416-239-7843 for tickets.

Meagan's Walk takes place every in the downtown core every Mother's Day.
