ESS SUPPORT SERVICES presents a free hearing clinic. The clinic provides hearing screening, instructions for the care, use and maintenance of hearing aids and community links to hearing health resources. THE HUMBER RIVER SHAKESPEARE Company presents their original edit of the "Dickens classic A Christmas Carol" from 6 to 7 p.m. Back by popular demand, this holiday season staple is showing fireside at Montgomery's Inn, 4709 Dundas St. W. THE CITIZENS CONCERNED About the Future of the Etobicoke Waterfront continues its monthly birdwalk series at Humber Bay East Park at 9 a.m. Meet in the south parking lot. The walk is free.

 

SANTA ARRIVES IN ETOBICOKE with a parade sponsored by the local BIAs. The parade route is along Lake Shore Blvd W. from Dwight Avenue to Long Branch Avenue. The parade starts at 10 a.m. and includes 10 marching bands and 15 professionally built floats, along with entries from schools, Boy Scouts, Girl Guides, businesses and service clubs. And of course, stay until the end to see Santa.

 

ST. NICHOLAS DAY Christmas Fair takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Philip's Parish Hall, 60 Dixon Rd. Shop for home baking, Christmas items and artisan crafts. For the kids, there will be candy and cookie decorating, and a visit from St. Nicholas.

 

ANNUAL COOKIE WALK takes place at Richview United Church 149 Wellesworth Dr. from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Cost is $4 per dozen. Please bring along your own containers.

 

JOIN RCL BRANCH 210 on 110 Jutland Rd. for the Ladies Auxillary's giant Christmas Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lots of vendors with new and used items available. There will also be a tea room and a fabulous bake table. For more information call 416-231-2021

THISTLETOWN COMMUNITY CENTRE in partnership with the Thistletown Lions Club and the Thistletown Advisory Council will be holding it's Tree Lighting Ceremony at 7 p.m. at 925 Albion Road. Browse the bazaar for homemade goodies, crafts as well as great holiday gift ideas. As part of the festivities, there will be having a raffle and silent auction with great prizes available to be won. All raffle proceeds will go towards supporting the St. James' Humber Bay Food Pantry.
