Join the Corso Italia Business Improvement Area (BIA) on Friday, Nov. 27 to celebrate the launch of its annual Cavalcade of Lights.
Free entertainment, hot drinks and holiday treats will be provided starting at 6 p.m. in front of St. Nicola di Bari (St. Clair Avenue West at Earlscourt) with live musical performances by local choirs and traditional dance groups.This year the BIA will be taking part in a light exchange program in which Toronto Hydro will be exchanging a string of energy-saving LED lights for every two strings of incandescent lights brought in.The BIA will also be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys to be distributed to needy children in the community by the Toronto Professional Fire Fighters' Association.To add to the festive atmosphere, Corso BIA is decorating the streetlight poles with Christmas greetings in five different languages. The Cavalcade of Lights continues to Dec. 27.
