Behind The Cuts

Toronto Community News examines two city services that may be targeted for possible budget cuts, as identified by a city-commissioned report by KPMG. The first focuses on local libraries and their value to the communities they serve. Several stories will appear over the next few days focusing on our various communities. The second, launching Sept. 1, takes a closer look at subsidized child care in the City of Toronto, what it means to parents, daycare operators and what would happen should it lose funding during the budget process.
