North York's Sasha Mehmedovic is a member of the Judo Canada Olympic team and will be competing in the World Championships in Tokyo, Japan from Sept. 9 to 13.
Some of Mehmedovic's achievements include: a bronze medal in men's 66 kilogram category in November 2009 at the judo Grand Prix in Qingdao, China; first at 2009 Francophone Games; third at the 2009 Great Britain World Cup, ninth in the 2008 Olympic Games and third in the 2008 Germany Grand Pris.
