Seniors win gold at provincial games

A number of Scarborough residents have repeated their gold medal performances in senior games competition.

Seniors who had taken the top spot at the District 16 (Scarborough) Senior Games in their events qualified to participate in the provincial level called Actifest held at Durham College from Aug. 10 to 12.

Thirty winners from District 16 competed at the provincial event.

Winners are: Brenda Holway, gold, single high score, 5 pin bowling; Ron Moeser, gold, men's Callaway golf; John Wenman, silver, men's prediction walking, 3 km; Suzie Cheng and Angela Ng, bronze, ladies 65+ pickleball doubles; Ken Cheng and Joseph Castanhiero, bronze, men's 65+ pickleball doubles.
