Scarborough women soccer players kick off college season in U.S. with big win

Scarborough soccer players Krysti Clarke and Courtney Clarke, no relation, both play for the Miami RedHawks in Oxford, Ohio and had a record-setting opening season game.

Both women are juniors with the RedHawks.

Miami of Ohio beat Alabama A&M 15-0 on Aug. 21 at the Miami Soccer Field. It was the season opener for both teams.

Krysti scored two goals in the game and Courtney scored one.

The Redhawks out-shot the Bulldogs 37-3.

Both played for the Mississauga Dixie Saints U18 girls soccer team, which is in the Ontario Youth Soccer League, a top league in the province.

Krysti attended Agincourt Collegiate and Courtney went to Francis Libermann Catholic Secondary School.
