The Redmond Redhawks finished off their season with third place in the Ontario Cheerleading Federation (OCF) Provincial Cheerleading championships last month.
More than 60 schools and all-star teams competed in the two day event held at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga.
"That was our best placing at the OCF provincial championships in the past three years," said coach Christine Sinclair. "The girls did fantastic."
The 36 member team had to redo an entire routine in under an hour when one of the girls suffered an injury right before their performance.
"The girls pulled together and gave a stellar performance even under the added stress and anxiety," she said. "They proved they are true athletes and worked so great together as a team. They pulled off the changes. We were so proud of them."
The girls are also coached by Rita McParland and Theresa Johnson.
This season the Redmond Redhawks finished first at the University of Guelph, Breath of Life Cheer competition, second at the Brock University Love to Cheer competition and second at the Central Regional championships.
Their next season starts in September.
