Humber Badminton coaches Lam Trinh and Michael Kopinak are at the top of their game.
The two head coaches were named the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association's (CCAA) Coaches of the Year at the 2010 Awards Banquet.Kopinak has been with the program since its inception when he started as assistant coach and program coordinator in 2006. He has been credited with helping direct Humber to a provincial title team. Meanwhile, Trinh, a Scarborough resident, was one of the original players and won an Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Provincial silver medal in men's doubles. Both men came into the roles of co-coaches this year. The Humber Hawks badminton mixed doubles team made it to the CCAA National Championships.
