Hockey player ends season on high note

Sir John A. Macdonald grad Elisabeth Stathopulos has been named Bauer Rookie of the Week after her team finished the season south of the border.

Stathopulos, who is in her first year and plays for the University of Connecticut women's hockey team, has received the title for the second week in a row.

She scored in two of the three tournament games the Connecticut Huskies played in their last tournament.

She finishes her first season with nine goals and 14 assists making her only one of five players to record 20 or more points this season.

The Huskies finished their season with a record of 21-9-7.
