Riverdale wins OFSAA relay gold and bronze

East Toronto had a strong showing at the OFSAA (Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations) swimming championships held at the Etobicoke Olympium last week.

Malvern from the Beaches, in particular, finished fourth overall, including a third place in the open category.

Riverdale Collegiate was the top Toronto school in the men's category finishing fifth.

OFSAA allows for competition in the 'open' category, which includes elite club trained swimmers, and also for high school trained swimmers in senior and junior categories.

Two relay medals were both earned by Malvern (including silver in junior open women's 200m medley relay and bronze in junior men's 200m freestyle relay) and Riverdale (including gold in senior men's 200m freestyle relay and bronze in senior men's 200m medley relay).
