Grueling championship week for boys TDSB hockey

Winner will have to play three games in two days

The boys city hockey champion for the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) will have to play a lot of hockey this week to claim the title - namely three games in two days.

Both the quarterfinals and semifinals are set for Tuesday, March 9 - all at Canlan Sports Scarborough.

The quarterfinal slate is as follows:

* Lawrence Park vs Sir Oliver Mowat, 10 a.m.;

* Etobicoke vs Humberside, 10 a.m.;

* York Mills vs Malvern, 10:15 a.m.;

* Birchmount Park vs Richview, 10:15 a.m.

The semifinals run at 2 and 2:15 p.m. (featuring, respectively, the winners from the first two games and the winners from the latter two games).

The 3/4A championship game is then slated for Wednesday, March 10 at Centennial Arena Scarborough at 1 p.m. (and preceded at 11 a.m. by the 1/2A final at 11 a.m.).
