Rexdale hip-hop artist K'Naan's remix of 'Wavin' Flag' will be the anthem of Coca-Cola's 2010 FIFA World Cup program.The Mogadishu-born K'Naan will perform the song live during the African element of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola. The tour takes the trophy to 86 countries, including to every African nation.
The track will be used as the music element throughout the entire campaign, including as the soundtrack for all television commercials, during the trophy tour, and will also be featured on the online digital platform, Coca-Cola said in a press conference last month in Zurich, Switzerland.
The soft drink giant said its integrated global marketing campaign is inspired by the "joyous dance celebrations familiar to Africa."
'Wavin' Flag' is a single on K'Naan's latest album, Troubadour.
