West Hill peewees earn runner-up honours at International Silver Stick tournament. The West Hill Golden Hawks peewee A team earned silver at the International Silver Stick tournament held in Newmarket Jan. 13 to 15.

The team is fresh off their gold medal win from the Vaughan Regional Silver Stick tournament held in December.

The boys had a record of 1-1-1 at the Newmarket tourney at the end of round robin play, which got them a spot in the semifinals.

The Golden Hawks beat the Ottawa West team 1-0 to reach the finals where they faced off against the Belleville Bulls.

West Hill had to settle for silver. Final score in the championship game was 3-1 for Belleville.
