Police continue to investigate after a 39-year-old man was found murdered in his North York metal shop Thursday.

Police said a customer came into the shop at 147 Norfinch Dr. near Finch Avenue and Highway 400, located the victim and called 911 around 3 p.m.

Rajeswaren Saravanamuthu had obvious signs of trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy performed Saturday concluded the cause of death was "multiple stab wounds in the presence of blunt force injury of the head," police said in a news release.

Saravanamuthu was the owner of Tiga Metals Inc., a scrap metal business.

This is the city's 11th murder of the year.

Anyone who had contact with Saravanamuthu on Thursday is asked to call the homicide squad at 416-808-7400.

Visitation will be held Friday between 10 a.m. and noon and between 6 and 9 p.m. at the DeMarco Funeral Home, 3725 Keele St.

The funeral will be held at the same location at 8 a.m. Saturday.
