A man was taken to hospital after his vehicle struck a pole and a bus shelter in York Friday, Feb. 5.
Police said a pickup truck and another vehicle collided on Dufferin Street at Gibson Street, south of Eglinton Avenue, around 7:30 a.m. "One of them hit a pole and a bus shelter that had nobody in it," Sgt. Tim Burrows said. The driver was breathing but unconscious when emergency crews arrived. His injuries are not life-threatening.
Dufferin was closed south of Eglinton for more than two hours for the investigation and cleanup.
The collision occurred near the spot where a 52-year-old woman was struck and killed by a minivan Jan. 20.
