Man charged in serious car crash on Jane Street

A man faces charges in a serious crash on Jane Street south of Downsview Avenue early Saturday, July 25.

Police allege a man was driving south on Jane when he drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a northbound car with three occupants around 3:50 a.m. He then allegedly fled the scene.

Three people were taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Carlos Eduardo Gonzalez Moya, 32, has been charged with three counts of failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm and three counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 1.
