THE APHASIA INSTITUTE seeks volunteers who are patient, compassionate and enthusiastic during weekday hours to assist with both group-based and one-on-one conversation for adults with aphasia. Aphasia is an acquired disorder caused by stroke or injury to the brain and affects one's ability to communicate. Volunteers are provided with specialized training.
