Reader thanks conservation authority

To the editor:

Re: 'TRCA saves Heathercrest Park', The Etobicoke Guardian, July 15.

Way to go TRCA (Toronto Region and Conservation Authority)! Thank you for saving Heathercrest Park.

There is not enough of this type of thing going on at a time when we should be doing all we can to stop global warming. I can think of no better way to help this cause than what you people have done.

It seems that every day the city sells permits for condo projects by the dozen and this does nothing to save our green spaces.

It just demolishes them a little at a time. I just wanted to thank you again for what you have done. Keep up the good work. You are a godsend to global warming.

I have also noticed a number of other companies following in your footsteps by turning off some of their lights during peak periods in hydro usage.

Thanks again.

Sharon Davis
