Not running makes sense

To the editor:

I read with interest Bruce Davis' decision not to run in the next election as a trustee ('TDSB chair withdraws from 2010 trustee race,' July 9). I then went on to read the other article ('Residents protest dome's progress,' July 9) and could see why he made that decision.

With his attitude of "my way or the highway" towards the community I can see why he'd rather not run than take the chance of getting "tarred and feathered" by some "mischief-making" residents.
