It's not about winning

To the editor:

This letter is a message to the team that lost the soccer match recently (Saturday, June 26) -- the boys in blue and white shirts.

Some of you looked so down after the game I just had to write this letter to let you know that you did not lose the game, you just had a setback.

There will always be another game and you look for ways to improve yourselves so that next time you will do better and may even win.

Remember what your moms and dads taught you way back when you started to play: it is not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game and just do your best.

Good luck next time boys and just keep trying. I am sure that your country is proud of you and I know that your parents are very, very proud of you.
