Rob Ford lends a hand

To the editor:

Rob Ford helps everyone who asks him for help.

Example: I, Roy Rysyk, contacted Rob Ford and explained I do not live in his riding, explained the problem in his ward, and Rob Ford agreed to solve the problem.

The problem: The 60 km speed limit signs on Renforth Drive between Hwy 401 westbound ramp exit to Renforth Drive and Silverdart Drive were removed and were not replaced with any signs, indicating the reduced limit.

I explained this section of Renforth Drive is in Etobicoke and divided into Mississauga also. Any drivers exiting 401 west onto Renforth Drive north had no warning the speed limit was lowered, as no speed limit signs appeared on Renforth Drive to northbound traffic.

I also mentioned the police were standing at the bus stops at Renforth Drive and Silverdart Drive, both northbound in Etobicoke and also in Mississauga southbound at Renforth and Silverdart drives.

Rob Ford said he would look into the problem and that he would have to coordinate the solution with Mississauga since the Renforth Drive at this location boundary divided Renforth Drive between Etobicoke and Mississauga cities and would take a little while to correct.

I explained to Rob Ford that there are no houses, no driveways, and I could not understand why the speed limit was reduced and why no speed limit signs were posted.

The speed limit was raised and the new speed limit signs were posted. Thank you, Rob Ford.

Roy Rysyk
