Torontonians want subways, not light rail cars

Re: 'Scarborough's transit future threatened, mayor says,' News, April 30 and 'Miller continues campaign to save Transit City,' News, April 30.Why does The Mirror paper promote the propaganda of Transit City? This city needs rapid transit, that means subways. Our citizens aren't stupid. Ninety-four per cent of folks polled by the Toronto Star want subways. If The Mirror wants to help the readers, both those on public transit and in their vehicles, then start advocating for a transit system that is cost effective, cost efficient and will provide a system of transit users want, pulls new ridership onto it and does not hinder road traffic.
