Don Mills Friends aware of settlement terms

Re: 'Don Mills Friends indicates opposition to Don Mills agreement,' News, Feb. 18.

There are some factual errors in the following sentence, excerpted from the above-mentioned article.

"In a statement released Tuesday, the group said it wasn't fully aware of the details of the deal when the city and developer Cadillac Fairview reached an agreement Feb. 10."

This is not what our statement, which can be read on our website at www.donmillsfriends.org, said.

We are aware of the details, as we were a party to the negotiations, but we have withdrawn because we disagree with the terms of the settlement (which cannot

be made public due to confidentiality requirements).

Also, the agreement was reached Feb. 1, not Feb. 10.
