Canadians don't care about prorogue

To the editor:

Re: 'Prorogue protest set for Saturday,' News, Jan. 22.

Justin Arjoon's amazement at 200 people showing up at the first meeting and then 100 showing up at the second just goes to show you how boring the first meeting must have been. Isn't it amazing the spin that politicians can put on a situation?

I would counter that most Canadians don't care about proroguement except maybe all of those that work for the CBC, NDP and the Liberals.

What we do care about is jobs, the economy and Haiti.

We don't care about what happened to some Taliban terrorists in 2004 and let's face it, that's the only beef that NDP leader Jack Layton's and Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff's lackeys on the Commons special committee have about proroguement.
