Names of coffee sizes unnecessarily complicated

To the editor:

Re: Editorial cartoon about Tim Hortons changing its cup sizes, Jan. 20

Your cartoon about the new names (or sizes) for Tim Hortons' coffee makes light of the dilemma facing many coffee-drinking Torontonians. What size or name do they order to get the amount of coffee previously ordered?

Their handout says a large double-double will become a medium double-double. There isn't a change in the price or amount of beverage - it's only the name of the size that's changing.

If my previous medium is now called small, do I get the same amount but pay the small price?

The simple solution to the confusion would be to add one new size called extra, extra large and keep the name of the remaining sizes the same.
