I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and as a reminder that in this heat and humidity, pets should never be left in a vehicle, even for a quick stop. Keep pets at home where they will be happy, relaxed and cool. This month's pets are from independent GTA rescue organizations. Whiskey is a little "Min Pin" and Misty is a charmer of a cat; both are described as people-pets. Whiskey is a three-year-old neutered male miniature pinscher who was surrendered by his original home that had several small children in it. Whiskey is house and crate-trained and is described as loving and affectionate. Although he is currently living in his foster home with a few dog buddies, his heart is with the humans and is more of a people kind of dog. His perfect home would be a peaceful and calm environment, one without small children, and with a person or couple who are dog experienced. He is a well mannered, quiet little boy who is looking for someone to devote himself to. She is playful with a friendly disposition and loves to be petted, have her ears scratched and play fetch with her treats. She's a stunning cat with an elegant, long, fluffy tail and expressive amber eyes. She is affectionate, gentle and intelligent and has a deep purr to show how happy she is spending time with you. She loves string games and is a lap cat although she's not fussy about being carried around.
