China trip is waste of money for mayor
To me this is yet another example of vanity at Toronto City Hall. There are two other levels of government that have the responsibility for trade. Why does Mayor David Miller assume this responsibility, which leads to spending needed money we don't have to finance his personal safari?
Clearly this money could have been spent on children's programs such as the air cadets. Such spending would have helped our kids stay away from becoming alienated from our society, and join the wrong company. Look at the shootings that are rampant in Toronto.
I think the mayor is really looking for excitement and escape from his otherwise dull job, and to be a part of being something of importance by going abroad as a VIP.
