Teen faces charges after women attacked

A teenage boy faces charges after two women were assaulted in Malvern.

Police allege a male grabbed a woman and tried to drag her into bushes near McLevin Avenue and Neilson Road at 11 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2.

At 4 p.m. the next day, a male came up to a woman from behind and struck her in the back of the head with an unknown object in the Sewells and Neilson roads area.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested on Saturday.

He has been charged with one count of assault with a weapon, two counts of assault and two counts of failing to comply with recognizance. The teen can't be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police believe there may be more victims and are asking anyone with information to call 42 Division at 416-808-4200 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
