Dancer makes Top 16

Sebastian Mersch has made it safely through another week on So You Think You Can Dance Canada.

The 21-year-old Leaside resident secured a spot in the Top 16 after the elimination round Tuesday, Sept. 7, which sent two dancers packing.

The remaining competitors are in the running to win the title of Canada's favourite dancer and $100,000. This year, the winner, runner-up and one lucky viewer will also win a Mazda2.

The show, in its third season, kicked off Aug. 15 with 22 competitors, paired into 11 couples, who work with some of the world's top choreographers learning a new dance routine and style each week.

Tune in to next Monday's show on CTV to see the Top 16 dancers compete, and watch Tuesday's broadcast to find out who didn't make the cut.
