Medication stolen

Police have issued a public safety alert after a 45-year-old woman in a motorized wheelchair was robbed of a fanny pack containing medication.

The incident happened on Saturday, Sept. 4 at about 9:30 p.m. near Broadview Avenue and Thompson Street.

Police report a male suspect approached the woman and grabbed her fanny pack containing 27 Percocet tablets, 54 Oxycontin tablets (20 mg), and 27 Oxycontin tablets (40 mg) before fleeing the scene in a westerly direction.

The pills could be harmful in ingested, especially by children.

The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5'5", about 155 pounds with a thin build.
