A knock at the door led to a terrifying ordeal for a 55-year-old woman Monday, Sept. 6.
Police report between 12:10 and 2 a.m. a woman was in her apartment near Dundas Street West and Greenwood Avenue when two males forced their way inside and demanded she hand over cash and jewelry.One of the suspects allegedly produced a knife and held it to the victim's throat, while the other searched her apartment.Both suspects then removed a quantity of cash before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.The victim was not injured.The first suspect is described as a white male, about 18 years old, 5'6", about 151 pounds with a thin build.The second suspect is a black male, about 18 years old, 5'11", about 165 pounds with a stocky build.Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-5500, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), online at www.222tips.com, or text TOR and your message to CRIMES (274637).
